The Wound of the Left Hand, inflicted by a nail

5480 Wounds of Christ Devotion

Welcome to the thirteenth meditation of the 5480 Wounds devotion of St. Bridget of Sweden. Today we invite you to contemplate the Wound of the Left Hand, inflicted by a nail. Prayer: O Jesus! Strong Lion, Immortal and Invincible King, remember the pain which Thou didst endure when all Thy strength, both moral and physical, was entirely exhausted, Thou didst bow Thy head, saying: “It is consummated!” Through this anguish and grief, I beg of Thee Lord Jesus, to have mercy on me at the hour of my death when my mind will be greatly troubled and my soul will be in anguish. Amen.

About Podcast

The love of God is something we often hear about but rarely take to heart. It’s difficult to comprehend the depth of love Jesus has for each of us. Led by Catholic evangelist Ali Hoffman, we seek to greater understand this great love through the 5480 wound of Christ devotion of St. Bridget of Sweden. Twice a week we will be meditating upon various wounds Christ sustained throughout His way to calvary. His love for us is quite literally written into his body in each of these wounds. May we draw near to them so that our wounds may be redeemed with his this Easter.

Join us starting on February 14, Ash Wednesday.
