Seeing Through the Heart of Jesus is a six‑week Lenten podcast series from the Archdiocese of Indianapolis, inviting listeners to deepen their relationship with Christ by viewing life through the lens of Catholic Social Teaching. In Episode Three, Seeing Mercy Through the Heart of Jesus, host Emily Mastronicola welcomes Fr. Joe Moriarty, Pastor at St. Luke Catholic Church, and Yadira Villatoro, Administrator of Religious Education at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Indianapolis. Together, they explore the Sacrament of Reconciliation as an encounter with the tender, healing mercy of Christ. They discuss why many Catholics drift from confession, how Jesus gently invites us back without shame, and the freedom that comes from finally laying down what we’ve been carrying.
