St. Luigi Maria Palazzolo: Creating a Family of Faith for Orphans
Awaken the Saint
Experiencing great loss in his youth, Luigi was no stranger to suffering. Raised with a strong foundation in the faith he soon found his calling as a priest and sought ways to help others who were suffering. Taking it upon himself to offer food, shelter, education, and love to orphaned children he later founded the Sisters of the Poor. Through his efforts he was able to offer a family environment for children without a home. Saint Luigi Maria Palazzolo 1827 - 1886. Feast day: June 15.
