Episode 9: Our Lady of Mount Carmel and the Brown Scapular
CarmelCast
The brown scapular is a widespread devotion in the Church. It is a sign of the protection of Our Lady of Mount Carmel and a participation in the graces she promised to the Carmelite Order. In this episode, Fr. Michael-Joseph of St. Thérèse is joined by Br. Pier Giorgio of Christ the King who unpacks the history and theology behind this powerful sacramental. http://www.icspublications.org http://www.discalcedcarmel.org http://ocdfriarsvocation.org

About Podcast
Our goal here is simply to talk about the spiritual life from a Carmelite perspective - something that we already do in the monastery on a regular basis. Through this podcast, we hope to open the conversation up for you to listen and join in. We’re by no means experts on these topics, but we believe that our Carmelite tradition and saints have a lot to offer to those seeking to grow closer to God.
