VOICE OF CHARITY -- SCaN Program Update
Catholic Chicago
In 2021, Catholic Charities was chosen by the City of Chicago’s Department of Family Support Services to be one of eight partners to start a new program called SCaN, which is designed to help youth who are most at-risk of having their lives impacted by violence. Catholic Charities was asked to coordinate the program in the Austin community, due to our success in that neighborhood with the Tolton Peace Center. Join Katie Bredemann as she welcomes Carla Gutierrez, Department Director of Catholic Charities Youth Counseling Department, and Tashika Eubanks, SCaN Program Supervisor to discuss the positive impact SCaN is having already in Chicago.
