DIAKONIA: A CALL TO SERVICE -- Jesus said, “Come away by yourselves.” Retreats—Good for every Christian

Catholic Chicago

Join Deacons Richard Hudzik and Dave Brencic in their conversation with Monsignor John Canary, Chicago priest, holder of many honors and offices in the Archdiocese of Chicago and currently Director of the Archdiocese’s Joseph and Mary Retreat House. Listen in as Monsignor Canary discusses what a retreat is, how it helps us in our walk with the Lord and how one can seek to receive the benefits of a retreat even while we stay at home. Also, Monsignor Canary identifies the different kinds of retreats and, in a few concluding minutes, begins a conversation on the spirituality of St. John of the Cross. The website for Joseph and Mary Retreat House is www.josephandmaryretreat.org.
