VOICE OF CHARITY -- Inside Peace Corner
Catholic Chicago
Launched from a small storefront in 2002, the Peace Corner Youth Center was envisioned as a safe haven for youth in the Austin neighborhood on the westside of Chicago. Today the Peace Corner is operated by Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Chicago, and it has grown into a full-service community center with a computer lab, classrooms and a wide range of activities and recreational sports. Join Katie Bredemann and Phil Zepeda as they welcome Jonathan McDonald, Kevin Allen and Josiah Allen to discuss how the Peace Corner thrives as a supportive environment in which youth learn the skills they need to be successful in life.
