Intro to the day: “[L]et them prefer nothing whatever to Christ, and may He lead us all together to life everlasting.” –Saint Benedict Today is Tuesday, the Memorial of Saint Scholastica, Virgin. We are praying for the faculty, staff, and families of Schlarmann Academy in Danville, IL. In the Gospel, Jesus rebukes the Pharisees for practicing tradition for its own sake, and not for God. Gospel: Mark 7:1-13 Saint of the Day: Saint Scholastica Marian prayer for the day: Memorare Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help or sought thine intercession was left unaided. Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto thee, O Virgin of Virgins, my mother; to thee do I come, before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in thy mercy, hear and answer me.
