Intro to the day: “And if some day it happens, as with everybody, that you do something stupid… don’t get discouraged; pull yourself together at once and get on with your work without getting upset. Only Proud and unbalanced people allow themselves to be disturbed by their faults, because they will not face up to their own fragility. Never forget that your safest refuge is always the Sacred Heart of Jesus…” –Blessed Jacques Désiré Laval Today is Tuesday, the Memorial of Saint Peter Claver, Priest. We are praying for the faculty, staff, and families of St. Therese Catholic School in Portland, OR. In the Gospel, crowds of people seek out Jesus. Gospel: Luke 6:12-19 Saint of the Day: Blessed Jacques Désiré Laval Marian prayer for the day: Memorare Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thine intercession was left unaided. Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto thee, O Virgin of Virgins, my mother; to thee do I come, before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in thy mercy, hear and answer me.
