Bishop Perry, Venerable Tolton
Catholic Lunch Break (Houston)
November 29, 2021 - Bishop Joseph Perry, auxiliary bishop of the Archdiocese of Chicago, recently visited Houston to promote the cause for canonization of Venerable Augustus Tolton. We snagged an interview with him while he was in town, along with Fr. Martins Emeh, the pastor of St. Monica here in Houston. That's a special connection because St. Monica was also the name of Fr. Tolton's parish. And to make it even better, the president of the St. Vincent de Paul conference at St. Monica Houston, Connie Steward, joins us to celebrate St. Monica as the Parish of the Week.
