BONUS: Survivalism vs Corruptionism (On the Human Soul After Death)

Catholicism in the Car

This episode examines issues regarding the Human Soul after Death. Does the person survive without their body, or is it just the soul that survives? This is a lively debate in Catholic philosophy and theology -- the debate between Suvivalism and Corruptionism. Survivalists: The human soul and human person survive death in the "interim" state between our bodily death and bodily resurrection at the end of time. There is a lot of nuance here that cannot be described in this forum. Corruptionist: The human soul, but NOT the human person survive death in the "interim" state between our bodily death and bodily resurrection at the end of time. There is also a lot of nuance here that cannot be described in this forum.
