113. Social Issues - Homosexuality

Catholicism in the Car

In this episode we discuss the social issue of Homosexuality. NOTE: While it is (strictly-speaking) not sinful for two persons of the same sex to live together, as long as they do not act out sexually with each other -- even if they had been in an erotic relationship previously -- it very well may be the "near occasion of sin." In which case, it would not be PRUDENT for the two persons to live under the same roof. "Lest the dog return to his vomit" (Proverbs 26:11). This situation would need to be one where consultation with one's pastor would be necessary. Again, strictly-speaking, it is not sinful for two persons of the same sex to live under one roof -- even if they had been in an erotic relationship in the past; however, it may not be a prudent thing for them to do and may be the near occasion of sin.
