Dad Talk - Twenty-Eighth Sunday in Ordinary Time (Cycle A)
Dad Talk guide to the Sunday Mass readings
This Sunday's Gospel reading seems to describe an injustice. The king has instructed his servants to go out and invite whomever they find to the king's wedding feast. But when some guy off the street comes in without wearing a wedding garment, the king binds his hands and feet and throws him out of the celebration. And yet Jesus says that the kingdom of heaven can be likened to this parable. What are we to make of that? We'll unravel that mystery in this week's Dad Talk. Please share with a friend, and God bless! Dad

About Podcast
Seeking to understand more about the Sunday Mass readings, I started reading Bible commentaries after Mass several years ago, then giving a 15-minute talk to our children about the context of the readings (history, geography, etc.) and their relationship to each other. We called these "Dad Talks." Over time, we started to share them with others. To dive even deeper, I recommend acquiring your own copy of my source materials: Brant Pitre & John Bergsma's "A Catholic Introduction to the Bible," the Catholic Commentary on Sacred Scripture set, and various books mentioned in the Talks. God bless!
