The Road to Emmaus - Daily Gospel Reflection
Daily Gospel Reflection on Veritas Catholic Network
Today’s Gospel Reading is the Road to Emmaus from Lk 24. The two disciples are walking to Emmaus. Jesus walks with them, but they don’t recognize Him. As they walk, Jesus opens up the Scriptures for them, but they still don’t recognize Him. It is only after sharing the Eucharistic meal, that they finally recognize Jesus. It is in the Eucharist that we recognize the Risen Jesus. It is before Christ in the Eucharist that we hear the Lord’s voice. May this Gospel inspire us to spend time with Jesus in Eucharistic Adoration. Praised Be Jesus Christ!
