Daybreak
* Monday of the 21st Week in Ordinary Time * Memorial of St. Augustine of Hippo, 354-430; sinner-turned-saint; having been so immersed in the creature comfort of his day, it's not surprising that he turned against the evil of his time so fiercely; he fulfilled the role of prophet; like Jeremiah, he was hard-pressed, but could not keep quiet * Office of Readings and Morning Prayer for 8/28/23 * Gospel: Matthew 23:13-22
