Inventing a drink on the spot for St. Edward the Confessor

Drinking With The Saints

Mike and Alexandra learn about St. Edward the Confessor and his father’s bizarre nickname, and then invent a drink on the spot in honor of St. Edward. Will it turn out to be any good? They also get to the bottom of what exactly a confessor even is, and throw in a bonus drink for another saint who is celebrated today. St. Edward the Confessor: October 13th Drink: The Royal Touch 1 ½ oz. London Dry gin ¾ oz. Chambord 1 egg white ¾ oz. lemon juice Dash of bitters Mix all ingredients except bitters and dry shake without ice. Then add ice and shake again. Strain into a cocktail glass.
