The Face Behind the Chart Series: Alison

For Her, With Love

This week, we are joined by the incredible Alison Duncavage—a Marine Corps wife, former elementary school counselor, and now stay-at-home mom from Virginia. 🤍 Ali’s story is one of pain, perseverance, and hope. After years of undiagnosed infertility and debilitating pain, she found herself navigating a healthcare system that often felt like it was throwing darts in the dark—trying treatment after treatment without ever getting to the root of what was really happening in her body. Then, she discovered restorative reproductive medicine. For the first time, Ali was given answers. She finally received a proper diagnosis and was able to access state-of-the-art surgery to treat the underlying condition. And through that journey, she eventually conceived and welcomed her beautiful son into the world. 🥹 But Ali’s story isn’t just about the outcome. It’s about the woman who kept going when she didn’t have answers. The woman who kept asking questions when she knew something wasn’t right. The woman who learned to advocate for herself—and refused to settle for care that didn’t address the root of her suffering. We are so incredibly grateful to Ali for trusting us with such a vulnerable part of her story. Her willingness to share the hard parts is a gift to other women walking through endometriosis, infertility, chronic pain, and the often-lonely journey of advocating for their own health. If you’ve ever felt like you were being dismissed, like no one was listening, or like you just knew there had to be more to your story—we hope Ali’s journey reminds you that it is not all in your head, you are not alone, and it is okay to keep searching for answers. Your story matters. Your health matters. And you deserve to be heard. ❤️ Listen to the full episode on Spotify, Apple, and Fio.
