Fr. Kirby has been a devotee of the scapular since his childhood and recently he penned a nine day preparation for enrollment in the brown scapular. Not only is the book useful for preparing to enroll but it can be a help to someone who wants to renew or deepen their scapular devotion. In this interview with Frs. Looney and Kirby, learn the origin story of the scapular, what it promises, what it requires of a devotee, and whether or not you can wear a scapular medal.
