Today we have Deacon Rudy and Katrina Villareal on the podcast for the alms giving portion of our Lenten Series. These two live a life of humble service to our community and to people around the world. Rudy is a Deacon in the Catholic Church through the Diocese of Austin. They operate a ministry for children and families in El Progreso, Honduras called Friends of Los Ninos. FOLN serves an orphanage of children providing them safety, community, and love. They also support a community in the mountains without running water, shelter, and very little food. Throughout the years with donations FOLN has been able to provide clean water, sustainable food systems, a local school, and most recently sturdy homes. In this episode Deacon Rudy and Katrina share how God called them to this ministry. We also talk about how to include children in service and to create a culture of service in your family.
