“A great sign appeared in the sky, a women clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet and on her head a crown of twelve stars.”- Revelation 12:1“Let the honoured festival of today, O Lord, bring us continued aid; on which the Holy Mother of God underwent temporal death, yet could not be holden by the bonds of death because she bore incarnate of herself Thy Son our Lord. Who liveth and reigneth with You, One God, for ever and ever. Amen.”- Collect from the Dominican and Sarum rite
