#philosophy #stoicism #mindset #strong #motivation #ryanholiday #taylorswift #drake #joerogan #joeroganexperience #marcusaureliusquotes With Andrew Tate, Ryan Holiday, Matthew McConaughey, and Joe Rogan promoting Marcus Aurelius and the Stoic way of life, Logos felt the need to dive into the conversation. Per-usual, philosophical discourse motivates this conversation, yet we bring it into communion with the great gift God has given man to encounter Him, namely the Gospel.   As a part of this conversation, we will define stoicism, its ethical, epistemological, and theological implications, and their relationship to the Gospel. Buckle in, you are in for a philosophical, yet fascinating ride down "Ponder Avenue" on "Joey and Max Blvd" destined for the Jesus Christ. Did I draw this analogy out too long? I did, didnt I?   Anyways, enjoy the show and God bless! 0:00 - Introduction 3:43 - Why Stoicism? 5:11 - Ancient or New Wisdom? 6:33 - What is Stoicism? 9:33 - Marcus Aurelius 10:15 - Branches of Stoicism 13:30 - Nature Matters 15:10 - How to be a Stoic 17:25 - Indifference 19:10 - The Body Matters 20:00 - Importance of Passions 24:17 - Stoicism and Christianity 27:09 - God of Stoic 27:50 - God of Christianity 32:32 - Suffering is Redemptive 35:00 - Intellectually honest 38:00 - Discipline Your Body 39:15 - Sadness, Drake, and Taylor Swift  41:05 - Focus On The Controllable 42:39 - We Are Mortal 45:00 - Is "The Obstacle the Way"? 48:00 - Closing Remarks Links to support us publically or fiscally: Website: www.logos-podcast.com  Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/logospodcast Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/3PCPWBvNcAbptX17PzlC2x?si=BkEHS4vGSf-xmMlDFcpZ2Q Apple Podcast: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/logos-podcast/id1560191231 TikTok: www.tiktok.com/@logospodcast  YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCqauK7TPfOwe80B-ckOeelQ Instagram: https://instagram.com/logos.pod?igshid=YWJhMjlhZTc= Support the show
