Not Your Typical Trads

Talking about the "not typical" part of Not Your Typical Trads. We meet a lot of Catholics who have doomsday mentalities about media. Anything that is new or in popular culture is dismissed and painted as the fruit of modernism. We see people with a bunker mentality who refused to read any books, see any movies, or listen to any music that is not the life of a saint or explicitly religious. As the pastor at our parish says– hay casos y casos. This means we take and discern everything on a case by case situation. We are all for saying GET BEHIND ME SATAN to all things that are mortal sin. The Church gives us objective truth and guidelines to know what's good and evil, PTL. Yet we find many things in pop culture fall into a grey area where we have to discern with God and our community, whether or not something is an objective evil for all or for an individual.So here's an episode where we give our hot take that is evolving and also daily discerned with the help of our awesome support system we have at our parish.
