Pope Leo XIV Christmas Message - Midnight Mass
Popesplaining
In this Christmas message from Saint Peter’s Square, Pope Leo XIV welcomes the faithful and reflects on the light that breaks into the world with the birth of Christ. Drawing on Isaiah, Luke, Titus, and the Psalms, he contrasts humanity’s search in the skies with God’s decision to come among us as a child. The homily calls listeners to recognize the dignity of every person, to make room for God by making room for others, and to carry the hope of Christmas into a world still marked by darkness. A moving meditation on faith, charity, and hope as the Jubilee year draws to a close.
