What the Stairway to Heaven is Really About (Special Podcast Highlight)
The Cale Clarke Show - Today's issues from a Catholic perspective.
What's the connection between a Led Zeppelin song, Jacob in the Old Testament, and Nathanael in the New Testament? The 'stairway to heaven' may be a lot different than you think. Cale Clarke discusses the story of Jacob's ladder from the book of Genesis. He connects this story to Jesus' encounter with Nathanael in the New Testament. Jesus refers to the vision of Jacob's ladder and tells Nathanael that he will see greater things, including heaven opened and the angels of God ascending and descending on the Son of Man. This shows that Jesus is the way to heaven, the bridge between God and humanity. Cale emphasizes the importance of faith and trust in God's presence, even when it may not be visible or obvious. He encourages listeners to have faith that God is with them, even in difficult situations, and that he has a plan for them. The story of Jacob's ladder serves as a reminder of God's faithfulness and his constant presence in our lives.
