Ordained to Serve: A Deacon's Journey to the Altar – Deacon Joel Rogers – 07/07/2026
The Catholic Morning Show
Newly ordained Deacon Joel Rogers joins The Catholic Morning Show to reflect on his June 27 ordination to the permanent diaconate for the Archdiocese of Dubuque. He walks listeners through the powerful symbolism of the ordination liturgy, from the procession of clergy to the Litany of the Saints, and explains the threefold diaconal ministry of word, sacrament, and charity. Rogers also shares how his formation prepared him for his new ministry placement serving Martha's House of Hope, a maternity home in Ames.
