Summer Curiosity: How Vacation Season Opens the Door to Evangelization – John Gaffney – 07/08/2026

The Catholic Morning Show

John Gaffney, Team Director for Adult Evangelization and Leadership Formation for the Diocese of Des Moines, explains how summer's relaxed pace makes people more open and curious about faith, prayer, and God. He describes curiosity as the Holy Spirit stirring the heart at picnics, ball games, and family gatherings — moments when guards come down and real spiritual conversations begin. Gaffney offers practical ways to accompany a curious seeker: invite them to Mass, answer questions over coffee, and connect them with pastors and deacons.
