Fr. David Axtmann: A Mother Holds Her Son 37 Years After Burial (+ more) | The Catholic Morning Show - 08/06/2026
The Catholic Morning Show
On the Feast of the Transfiguration, The Catholic Morning Show digs into a story many are calling miraculous: Fr. David Axtmann joins Bo Bonner to explain how Baby Brian Thomas Gallagher was found seemingly incorrupt 37 years after burial in South Dakota — and why the Diocese of Rapid City has opened an active investigation into its miraculous nature. Fr. PJ McManus, Megan Schultz and Tyler Dillon then share how St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Student Center at Drake University is moving Mass, Bible studies and community life onto campus after a sprinkler failure flooded the church. Plus Deacon Randy Kiel previews the Nineteenth Sunday in Ordinary Time readings, Fr. Nick Smith reflects on the Transfiguration Gospel, and Deacon Mark Campbell unpacks a sobering new study on loneliness and demoralization among young men.
