Eucharistic Amazement with Dr. Scott Hahn (Special Podcast Highlight)
The Drew Mariani Show
Drew Mariani discusses the upcoming National Eucharistic Congress (NEC) in Indianapolis, focusing on the need for a Eucharistic revival within the Church. Dr. Scott Hahn shares his thoughts on the significance of the NEC and its connection to the new evangelization initiated by Pope Saint John Paul II 40 years ago. Dr. Hahn explains the Emmaus event as a powerful illustration of the Eucharist's importance. He describes how Jesus, after His resurrection, walks with two disciples on the road to Emmaus without revealing His identity until later when He breaks bread with them. This moment becomes the paradigm for the worship of the new covenant. Dr. Hahn emphasizes the need to cultivate Eucharistic amazement and to recognize the true significance of the Eucharist as the resurrected Lord's body, blood, soul, and divinity.
