The Inner Life

Fr. Joseph Illo joins Patrick to discuss The Trinity * (3:38) what is the Trinity? * How does loneliness play into the Trinity? * How do we pray to the Holy Spirit? (21:44) Break 1 * John - The unifying force of the trinity is their divine will. Love keeps it together which is true but the unusual thing compared to other religions is that we believe in one God and 3 persons. They are one because of their divine will. The Jews say the holy spirit is a gentile God; He is not. He was there from the begin. * (33:10) - How does the Trinity relation with Doctrinal Development? (38:19) Break 2 * (42:22) Tony - The last discussion seems to suggest that God had one will. what I understand what makes the 3 in one is that each has one will. But Christ had both humans will and divine will. can you explain the church’s teachings on this? * (46:17) how can we participate in the Trinity?
