The Inner Life

Father Joseph Illo joins Patrick to discuss the Origins of Our Lady of the Rosary * Why is it important to remember history? * (9:49) How did Europe know the Ottoman empire would attack? * Who was the commander of the Holy League? (18:20) Break 1 * Why was the pope in Charge of an army in the 16th century? * (24:25) How was the battle won by the Holy League at the Battle of Lepanto? * (31:22) What is the Link between Our Lady of Fatima an Our Lady of the Rosary? * Carlo - years ago, heard a CD that was an audio dramatization of the battle that also has explanations of details of weapons and strategies.  Anyone who has an appreciation of this feast day might be interested in it. (39:19) Break 2 * Mary - I heard the pope had asked the main ship of the battle to post an image of our lady of Guadalupe on the mast.  Have you ever heard of that? * (44:27) How can we honor the Pope’s request today for prayer and fasting? * Why is intercessory prayer so important for us?
