Just War Theory - What Would Jesus ACTUALLY Do?

The Quest

What makes a war just? Aren’t Catholics supposed to be pro-life & peaceful? Wouldn’t Catholics who support war be hypocritical? How should we as Catholics approach topics such as war, the right to bear arms, self-defense, etc...This week on the Quest as we continue to ask the question, “What Would Jesus ACTUALLY Do?” Fr. Sam Medley from the SOLT community will be leading us in a conversation about just war theory. On this episode, we’d love to hear from military families, law enforcement officers, soldiers, current or retired. 📰 Referenced in this episode: Catholic Answers: https://www.catholic.com/audio/sp/what-makes-a-war-just Just War Doctrine: https://www.usccb.org/just-war-doctrine The Just War Tradition: https://ondisc.nd.edu/news-media/news/the-just-war-tradition-and-theory-in-context-2/ Archdiocese for the Military Services: https://www.milarch.org/catholic-teaching-on-peace/ The Quest is Guadalupe Radio Network's live call-in show, connecting you to Catholic priests every weekday afternoon for a real conversation on faith, life, and everything in between.
