As another exciting World Cup ends, we celebrate more than one team's victory. The World Cup reminds us of moral and social values that help us flourish both on and off the field: ambition in the service of good goals, perseverance despite challenges, and teamwork in pursuit of shared victories. Like any great team, we are strongest when we play for something greater than ourselves. Life is truly a "team sport." God wants us always to contribute to a culture of fraternity, where we encourage one another, work together for the common good, and become instruments of peace and harmony. May these lessons inspire us to live with generosity, humility, and hope, bringing Christ's love and peace to everyone we encounter each day. By God's grace, this is how we "win" in life.
