Thoughts on Battling OCD & Scrupulosity
Tradition and Sanity
I would like to speak today about obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) and scrupulosity, which is generally understood as an OCD subcategory concerning religious and moral matters. My advice is based on that of saints and professionals. I will speak in the second person, for I wish to speak directly to the minds and hearts of those who may be suffering from this truly heavy cross, which has a capacity for blocking the joy of life and cramping the freedom that comes with faith in Jesus Christ.
