Hymns and Doctrine - January 6th, 2021
Truth in Charity
This week, Bishop talks about hymns and the importance of lyrics that precisely reflect Catholic doctrine. Then it's on to St. Andre Bessette...a humble doorkeeper with a local connection whose feast day we celebrate today. From the USCCB's Committee on Doctrine, this is the link for Catholic Hymondy at the Service of the Church: An Aid for Evaluating Hymn Lyrics https://www.usccb.org/resources/Catholic%20Hymnody%20at%20the%20Service%20of%20the%20Church--Sept%202020.pdf Listener-submitted questions: * Why is there so much focus and enthusiasm for a Christmas tree? * Do you have a favorite Christmas ornament? * I've been seeing ads for Exodus 90 everywhere. Is it a program you have tried? Would you recommend it for all men? What fruit have you seen from it? * What's a good New Year's resolution? What should we start doing or stop doing?
