056: Nick Wissman - University of Dayton Baseball Pitching Coach - "Handling Adversity"
Virtuous Athlete
Nick Wissman is the newly named Pitching Coach for the University of Dayton, after being drafted and playing in the San Diego Padres' minor league system. Nick was the first-ever guest on the Virtuous Athlete podcast just weeks before he was drafted in the 8th Round of the 2024 MLB Draft by the Padres. In our conversation, we discuss what he learned while a member of the Padres and dealing with adversity, how he handled the disappointment of being released right before Spring Training this season, and how he found his way to the Pitching Coach role back with the Flyers.
