012: Ray McKenna, Founder of CAC - Being a Witness

Virtuous Athlete

Ray is the founder of Catholic Athletes for Christ (CAC) and has been working in this ministry for over 20 years! CAC is an apostolate that was born directly from St. John Paul II's creation of the Vatican Sports Office in the early 2000s. The ministry started with supporting Professional baseball players getting to Mass regularly, but has grown to serve all levels of baseball, the creation of the CAC Baseball Retreat, organization of NFL Team Masses at home and on the Road, and working directly with high school athletes and coaches. Ray is truly a man centered on Christ as he guides this non-profit, and is regularly looking to find new ways to serve the athletes.
