Healing & Hosting

What a Gift Podcast

This week, we kick things off with post-Lent reflections — the highs, the lows, the deleting TikTok only to replace it with a new app, and the freedom that comes from decluttering your space and habits. Then we unwrap the gift of hosting — from spontaneous dinners to themed parties — and talk about what really makes someone a great host (hint: it’s not perfection) and why hospitality might be the antidote to isolation. And then we unpack the gift of healing — what it means to carry wounds, how they shape us, and why bringing them into the light matters. From therapy to prayer to honest friendships, we talk about the messy, lifelong process of healing — and the peace and freedom on the other side. Along the way: workplace prank chaos, closet clean-outs, and hosting hot takes (please clean your bathroom). How have you experienced some good healing or excellent hosting? Let us know in the comments! 💬

About Podcast

Two friends unwrap ordinary life — the chaos, disappointments, spirals, fresh starts, and weird little joys — and practice receiving it as something that might actually be a gift.

We’re not, by nature, the kind of people who look at life’s chaos and chirp, “What a gift!” But maybe we should be. So we’re practicing — one conversation at a time — laughing (and sometimes complaining) our way through the little treats, let-downs, and weird in-between moments that make up life, slowly figuring out how to mean it when we say, “What a gift.”
